The situation was made even worse by organised groups of profiteers, some of whom were photographed outside major stores like Wickes and B&Q with trolleys loaded with bags of Thistle MultiFinish which they then sold on to desperate plasterers at a massive, unfair price in order to make a quick and easy profit.
